Turlock Computer Repair (“we”, “us”) operates turlockcomputerrepair.com and the repair shop at 2101 Geer Rd, Suite 101, Turlock, CA 95382. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you call, walk in, or use our Book a Repair or Contact forms, we collect what you provide: your name, phone number, email address, the device you are bringing in, a description of the problem, and your preferred appointment time. Form submissions are emailed to our shop inbox so we can respond.
Information on your device. Repairing a computer sometimes requires access to the operating system and, in data recovery or backup jobs, to your files. We only access what is needed to complete the work you asked for. We never copy, browse, or share your personal files, photos, or documents beyond what the repair requires, and any temporary working copies made for data recovery are deleted once the job is closed.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. Our site uses caching and security cookies that are needed for the site to work. We do not currently run advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your information to schedule and perform repairs, give you quotes and updates about your device, answer your questions, keep records of the work we have done, and keep our website secure and running properly. We may occasionally contact you about a repair you have with us. We do not send marketing newsletters unless you ask for them.
Third-party services
Our website uses a few outside services that may set their own cookies or collect technical data under their own privacy policies: Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to block spam (Google Privacy Policy and Terms), Google Maps for our shop location, and links to our Google Business Profile, Facebook, and Instagram pages. We do not control those services.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business (for example, our email and web hosting providers), when required by law, or when you ask us to, such as ordering a part under your name.
How long we keep it
We keep repair records, invoices, and related contact details for as long as needed for warranty, accounting, and tax purposes. Website form submissions are kept in our email until they are no longer needed. Data on your device stays on your device; we do not retain copies after a job is complete.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and we will not treat you differently for exercising them. Security
Our website uses HTTPS encryption, and devices left with us are kept in our secured shop. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and your equipment.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website.
